Run a class in minutes.
Make a class, hand out a short code, and students are in. CoLabEx is free for teachers and schools, and gives you real project tools for real client work alongside the coursework.
CoLabEx is in an early-access beta. Everything on this page is live today; anything still planned is listed under “Good to know.”
Coming from Canvas or Google Classroom? Those are built around course content. This is built around real project work — your students claim tasks, submit for review and get graded on what they actually delivered, on the same system working professionals use.
What you can do
Every class gets a short join code and link. Students type it in — even if they've never used CoLabEx — and start with a simple view of just their classes.
Paste a list of emails: people with accounts are added at once, and everyone else gets a personal invite link.
Classes are private by default. Once your institution is approved you can post a class on the public class board.
Run projects with students as contributors, use student project managers, and see who did what.
Publish free courses in the Education Center with quizzes and badges.
Remove a student, end a class when it's done (everyone keeps their history), and regenerate the code if it gets out.
How it starts
- Create an account and register your institution.
- Once it's approved, create a class and share the code.
- Add projects and coursework, and end the class when it's done.
Classes are private unless a professor chooses to list them here.
See the public class board →Good to know
- An institution is reviewed by CoLabEx before its classes can be posted publicly. Private classes work without it.
- Instructors and institutions are responsible for their own grading and student information.
- Skill points, badges and credentials on CoLabEx are platform records, not official transcripts.
- Email delivery for invites is still being set up; until then you copy each student's link.
Accounts are free while CoLabEx is in early access, and spots are limited.
